Dr. Paraiso is a Diplomate of the American Urological Association. He graduated from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine with Distinction in Research. He completed his General Surgery and Urology Residency at State University of New York Downstate in Brooklyn, New York. His special interests include female urology, stone disease, no scalpel vasectomy, hypogonadism, and BPH.
He currently serves as the Chief of Urology at Bridgeport Hospital. He was instrumental in the successful implementation of the Robotic Surgery programs at both Bridgeport Hospital and St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Dr. Paraiso has expertise in urological oncology and reconstruction with the daVinci Robotic Surgical System. He performs robotic prostatectomy, partial and radical nephrectomy and radical cystectomy with urinary diversions. He joined the practice in 2000 and has been the recipient of Connecticut Magazine Top Doc Awards (2013-2016).
